Location: Maine Art Gallery, 15 Warren St, Wiscasset, Maine, and some remote work

Start Date: April 1, 2021
The Art Gallery Manager is primarily responsible for maintaining the gallery, its exhibits, and working
with the Board and volunteers. The regular duties are to greet visitors, assist with setting up and taking
down the art shows, help promote the exhibits, and establish and maintain relationships with artists and
the public. The manager would confer with the board and attend the monthly board meetings.
Experience or an interest in grant writing would be appropriate.
The position will start April 1, 2021, with our first show opening May 15. This is an annual, part-time
position that is dependent on funding.
Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
Seeking a high-energy individual with a positive mindset, and strong interpersonal and communication
skills. Individual should be able to work within the budgeted guidelines, handle inquiries, be proficient
in Microsoft Office, and be willing to learn other applications. Candidates with prior gallery experience,
working with Quickbooks, Wix, Excel, or Adobe Creative application will be given priority.
We are a small art gallery that is open during late spring, summer and into early fall. Wintertime you
would work from your home office. Working schedule would be 10 hours per week, with longer hours
Being able to sit or stand for long periods of time, walk up and down stairs, assist with moving art of
varying size during set-up and take-down of shows.
$19.00 per hour.
