Annual Members Show 2022: Made in Maine
Rules and How to Enter:
Review the rules before submitting your entry fee, and be sure to review how to have your work considered for exhibit advertising below.

DEADLINE FOR ENTRY FEE: SEPTEMBER 17. LATE ENTRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. As this is a non-juried show, your entry fee counts as an accepted submission. Should we receive enough entries to fill the gallery, we will close the process.
Drop Off: September 19 & 20, 11am – 4pm
Reception: September 24, 4pm – 7pm
Wiscasset Art Walk: September 29, extended hours till 8pm
Pick Up of Unsold Work: October 23 & 24, 11am – 4pm
Eligible Work & Artists:
1) Open to all Artist Members of the Maine Art Gallery.
2) Original fine art in any media may be submitted, including: drawing, painting, printmaking, mixed media, photography, fiber, jewelry, and sculpture.

3) Each artist may submit two works of art, which must be the artist’s own original work created within the last three years.
4) Work previously exhibited at the Maine Art Gallery is not eligible. Giclees and other reproductions are not eligible.

All Artist Members of the Maine Art Gallery are eligible. If you are not currently a member, you may join or renew here.
Entry Fee:
Entry fee is non refundable. The entry fee for this show is $15.00 per artist.
Show-Ready Art Only:
All works entered must be show-ready upon delivery to the Maine Art Gallery. Drop off is September 19 and 20, 11am to 4pm.
Original Art Only:
Only original or originally printed works will be accepted. Photocopies, color, or computer-generated copies are not acceptable for entry. Giclee reproductions are not eligible.
Diptychs and Triptychs:
Works created in two or three sections will be considered as one entry.
New Work Only:
Works submitted must have been created during the last three years. Work accepted into a previous Maine Art Gallery exhibit is not eligible.
Framing:
All 2-dimensional entries must be wired and ready to hang (i.e., with screw eyes and steel wire. Sawtooth hangers, “clip” frames or unstable frames will not be accepted.
Size Limits:
2-dimensional work may not exceed 4′ in either length or width, including frame. Sculptural work must fit through a standard doorway. Some pedestals are available, or the artist may supply their own.
Required Artwork Info:
Work must have the following identify information securely attached to the back of each piece. Make sure the information does not potentially obstruct the display of it.

To Have Your Work Considered for Exhibit Publicity, Deadline September 9:
If you would like to have your work considered for use in advertising, invitations or social media for this exhibit, please include your jpegs in your email to: maineartgalleryimages@gmail.com You do not need to send a separate email for images -- send the information and jpegs in one email.
Rules for submitting images:

Jpegs need to be titled with your last name and the title of the piece. Be sure to capitalize each word. Example: .

Images should be 1 to 3 megabytes in size.

Recommended pixel size is about 900 width or height, but not to exceed 1,800 in either dimension.

Do not send thumbnails.
Within the email, include artist’s contact information and size, price of pieces. Please include:

Sales:
All work must be for sale. Maine Art Gallery takes 35% commission.

Submission of your entry fee constitutes your understanding and agreement to the show guidelines and to the following conditions:

All work submitted is my own original art.

My entry fee is non-refundable.

If my work sells, Maine Art Gallery takes a commission of 35%, and I have priced my work accordingly.

I grant Maine Art Gallery permission to use images of my artwork and/or my name for promoting this exhibition and/or Maine Art Gallery, in print, broadcast, and online media and marketing materials.
