Service Description

DATE & TIME: June 20,23, 27, 30, & July 16. 10am - 11:30am Instructor: Jonathan Lavan COST FOR MEMBERS $45 for one adult (***MEMBERS use code LAVANADULTMEMBER for one adult***) $60 for one adult + one child (***MEMBERS use code LAVANKIDMEMBER for one adult + child***) COST FOR NON-MEMBERS: $60 for one adult (***non member adult students use coupon code LAVANADULTNM or you will be charged the max fee**). $75 for one non-member adult + child. Capacity: 15 Location: June 20 and July 16 will be at the gallery. Other destinations will be a group decision based on locations of students. Skill level: Any. For adults and kids age 10+. Ability to hike about 1.5 miles required. Materials List: Your camera of choice, or cell phones with decent cameras. Wear sturdy walking shoes and be prepared to be outside (bug spray, sunblock, hat, water, etc...) Description: Students will learn how to watch for, approach, identify, and photograph animals in the wild. Learn to compose (frame) a shot to get the best photo possible. Learning to see all the tiny, little, important lives all around you, all the time. About Jonathan Lavan: Jonathan Lavan is the owner of Underpressure Diving & Nature Photography. In his role as a photographer, naturalist, citizen scientist and wildlife expert he leads diving and photography trips all over the world. His photography has shown in galleries in Los Angeles, San Diego, Chicago and his home state of Maine. He is a member of the Lemont Block Arts Collective, which has a store on the corner of Maine and Pleasant streets in downtown Brunswick. Jonathan is a staunch environmentalist and educator of young people. He is committed to making a difference on this planet through his images and his message of goodwill to all creatures.
