Skill level: All levels. Adults only. Understanding the full- functionality of your camera is a necessity when photographing in a variety of situations. Materials List: Camera with manual mode settings (DSLR, mirrorless), lenses ( preferences for lenses: telephotos, macro), extra camera battery, filters, and memory cards! For low-angle shooting, consider bringing knee protection. iPhone 13 and newer also welcome. Description: Olga Merrill invites you to train your eye to find amazing subtleties in flower photography as well as learning abstract techniques to take flower photography to the next level.   Particpants Will Learn : –  Pre-visualize images, –  Compose flowers as abstract, –  Design elements such as lines, shapes, textures.   The workshop is limited to 5 participants to ensure that Olga will be able to give to each participants the personalized attention. Written instructions will be sent before class with explanation of techniques to be used. Olga will give tet-a-tet, 15-min creative review sessions to each participant after class. The goal being to produce a striking and cohesive body of work with a unique point of view, and to enhance the uniqueness of Intriguing flowers. About Olga Merrill: Olga Merrill is an award-winning Maine-based visual artist primarily using the medium of photography. She uses photography as a tool – like an instrument to make music or a brush for painting – to create an image of her vision, with a dreamy and indirect relationship to external reality. Merrill’s work has been part of group shows and festivals nationally and internationally.
