Whimsy: Flights of Fancy 2025
Exhibit Description and Call for Art:
Whimsical art is a visual expression of humor, playfulness, fantasy, or irony. Whimsy liberates the artist and the audience to communicate via an imagery unconstrained by formal perspective or representational fealty in the service of light-hardheartedness, caprice and satire. For this exhibition “Flights of Fancy” is applied as an expansive term embracing fanciful, imaginative perspectives of human activity as well as inviting literal renditions of our avian friends.
Artists are encouraged to express their individual interpretations of the theme in objective or non-objective styles.
Entries will be accepted beginning March 12. Deadline for receipt of entries is April 8. Late entries will not be considered.
All entries must be submitted to this address: [GALLERY TO PROVIDE AND POST BY MARCH 12.]
