Plein air painters are welcome to participate, and all are welcome to observe them work, and later enjoy the exhibit. Painters begin the morning of June 12. Their previously painted dry works will be available to view at the gallery 11am, June 15, and throughout the show, which ends July 9th.

This year artists may paint scenes Wiscasset, Lincoln County, and one newly painted work from anywhere in the state may be included. They will find an abundance of New England charm in the scenic harbors and coastal areas as well as quaint shops, intriguing homes, lovely gardens and historic properties.

Please note: As a result of the increased participation in the Maine Art Gallery’s annual plein air event, we have made two important changes from earlier years:

1. The exhibit has been expanded from two weeks to four weeks

2. Entrants are juried.
