Annual Appeal 2025-2026

Members, artists, collectors and friends, it is as simple as black and white. The Maine Art Gallery cannot exist without your support.

First, our artists create work that earns our cherished reputation. Then we depend on volunteers to hang and help promote the exhibits, manage operations and finances, host openings, classes, art talks, and events. We count on the financial support of a growing membership that, despite holding the line on our membership dues levels, produces more revenue year-after-year because our membership increases in number. And many of those members elect to raise the ante by contributing at our Patron level or higher.

We also rely on our merchant sponsors who renew their support and are joined by new local businesses who recognize that our artists, members, and visitors become their customers when they come to town to see our exhibits and participate in our activities. Of course, there are also our buyers from Mid-Coast and beyond whose appreciation for Maine art by Maine artists drive our sales, which resulted in an overall revenue increase of 50% from 2024.

In addition to supporting our programs and artists, your financial support, combined with funding from the Town of Wiscasset and Maine-based community foundations, helps us care for the beautiful National Historic Register building we reside in. We are profoundly grateful and ask for your continued support to enable us to deliver an exciting 2026 season of programming, building on the strength of this year.

Please submit your membership renewal and/or donation using the online form below or print the PDF of our membership form and mail it with your check. Consider moving to a Household or Patron level membership. We accept credit card payments – and ask you to help defray processing costs by including a 3% add-on to your charge. CONTRIBUTE NOW to nail down your 2026 calendar year membership.

The arts are more important than ever in these uncertain times. Join us again as we create and experience
joy, renewal and community.
