Annual Appeal 2024-2025
Knock, Knock. Who’s There?
Why, it’s Deena Ball; Matt Barter; Andre Benoit; Kathleen Buchanan; David Dewey; Carolyn Gabbe; Sherrie York; David Little; Marguerite Robichaux; David Etnier; Marcia Brandwein; Debra Arter; Winslow Myers; Virginia Forrest; Carol Wiley, to name a few.
If the walls of this old brick academy building could talk, they would tell you who’s there – to exhibit, enjoy and buy art – and who will be there in 2025 when the Maine Art Gallery opens its doors for another season as an important destination for the arts in Maine.
And it beckons YOU to participate with your support, your involvement, your volunteer talents, your membership, and to join a circle of donors and show sponsors. As a non-profit, your contribution to the gallery is not only appreciated, but also tax-deductible.
Visitors enjoy the exhibit Generations: The Legacy of Mentors, 2024.
From April to October, a dedicated group of volunteers curated and hung 2024’s shows. From a gallery packed with families of Wiscasset art students, along with their teachers; to a nod to the approaching darkness with “Nocturne,” we hosted a robust season.
With a strong emphasis on the legacy of founding artists like the Burrages, Kienbusch, Thon, and the Zorachs, Maine Art Gallery maintains a uniqueness for emerging and seasoned artists. Through informative programs like art talks and classes and lively art openings, we invite you to continue your support.
So… while the Maine Art Gallery is KNOCKING on your door, we hope you will answer – with the support, funding and participation that is essential for us to continue to show art another year, and, with the town of Wiscasset, steward this 1807 building. Membership runs January to December so NOW is the time for everyone to renew.
You may submit your membership renewal and/or donation using the downladable form below or going to our Join/Donate page. We accept credit card payments—and ask you to consider adding 3% to your charge to help defray processing costs.
With the heartfelt appreciation of the entire Board of Trustees for your continuing support,
- Richard Riese
President, Board of Trustees
